Well, it's about time I update this... *dusts off cobwebs*
AC '08 was a freakin' blast, and I can't wait for 09. Hopefully everything goes well for me and I can get monies and time off to go. I'll probably be getting a different job next summer. I just don't really want to do lawn maintainence anymore. It's not really as fun as it used to be with some of my former employees. Concrete I don't mind oddly enough. But anyhow... AC was great, the fursuits were a blast to look at, the dealer's room was fun and the few panels and people that I did meet were great as well.
So, I start firefighter 1 boot camp tomorrow. It's going to be hell and the temperatures are supposed to be creeping up mid week. I hope i'm ready for it, I still need to go double (triple...?) check my gear at the hall and practice donning and doffing it... in 2 minutes. Everything including the air pack apparently. So hopefully that's actually feasible. So you probably won't be seeing much of me around the intarwebz, but in two weeks i'll be a NY certified exterior firefighter.
In other news, the guitar has been fixed and it's playing fine. I'm currently debating buying a delay pedal, since hell, I just love delay effects and listening to Pink Floyd just makes it more awesome.
Saw Rush up in Toronto at the Molson Amphitheater, they still got it man. They still got the crowd going with Spirit Of Radio and 2112:Overture/Temples. They also threw in The Trees and some other awesomely awesome stuff. Can't wait to hear if they're going to another album, word has it that they will be working on a new one, no other news yet.
I have a Rush tab book for guitar on order as well as a Modes and Scales book for fiddling with creating my own stuff. Working on learning limelight and the rhythym guitar for Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. "Money" is also on my list as well.
Anyway I guess i'll get heading out for now. Have a good one everybody and I will be on when I get the chance.
